First culinary altar imagined by Thierry Forbois for Arakuto, culmination of three years of artisanal obsession, Ara takes wood into haute couture. The crafting of Ara demands the highest degree of mastery and refinement. Nothing is left to chance. For the half-thousand pieces of maple and walnut that will make up Ara's starry body, as many will have been dismissed in a ruthless selection process, retaining only the crème de la crème. The chosen pieces will be hewn with all the humility that perfection requires, then arranged in a mosaic by an Arakuto master artisan with the utmost sensitivity, to create a unique celestial tapestry.

Concerning Ara
. End grain wood central surface.
. FSC-certified first-grade hard maple (Acer saccharum) and bird's eye maple woods, both sourced from U.S. and Canadian forests.
. Naturally treated with 3 coats of polymerized linseed oil, 100% solvent free, zero VOC, one top coat of Arakuto’s Cure Balm organic formula.
. 509 pieces of wood in assembly. *
. 105 hours of craftsmanship per altar. *
. 90 days of maturation.
. 8 inlaid black walnut stars for the Ara constellation, crafted from reclaimed black walnut (Juglans nigra).
. Altar mounted on height-adjustable, non-slip, anti-marking bumpers made of high-performance polyurethane rubber.
