Nature’s Healing Touch

Because you care for what's important. Because by caring for the objects in your life, you're taking care of this world, the lives of all its creatures, and the people you love. It's about respecting the person you are and aspire to become, and it's also the simplest way to awaken in you the sense of the sacred.

Cure.

Cure is a five-in-one rich repairing balm specially formulated for the integral care of your Arakuto culinary altar and other irreplaceable wooden pieces.

  • The oil-repairing and cicatrizing properties of Cure rapidly penetrate your altar to restore the natural elasticity and enhance the resilience of damaged and desiccated wood fibers.

  • Cure revives the timeless beauty of your altar, visibly reducing knife marks and exalting the depth and uniqueness of its wood grain, while leaving a warm, vibrant, satiny patina.

  • With its natural compounds renowned for their remarkable antibacterial and antifungal properties, Cure balm purifies the wood of your altar, creating a hostile environment for the development of germs and molds harmful to your health.

  • Cure's exclusive blend of natural waxes and oils fills the pores of the wood to form a high-performance lipid shield. Offering your culinary altar a protective barrier against food liquids, unwanted stains and odors, while preventing its wood from discoloring, drying out and cracking under environmental aggression.

  • Cure balm's aromatic richness transports you inside a temple. Its precious oils and waxes combined with the divine essences of frankincense and benzoin distill a warm, honeyed fragrance, with subtle notes of woody vanilla, caramel, almond, rosemary, pine sap and sweet amber, imbuing your Arakuto altar with a scent of peace and sacredness.

In Search of the Ultimate Care

It was crucial to protect and preserve the culinary, artisanal and symbolic heritage of an Arakuto altar, and finding a daily care was an absolute necessity.

For months, we evaluated existing wood care solutions, testing various butters, oils and ointments. While some proved effective in certain aspects, no single substance or mixture combined all the virtues we were looking for. Well, it’s fair to say we might have set the bar a 'little' high…

We were seeking a comprehensive wood care formula, contained in a single pot, one that could, in the same application, heal, rejuvenate, purify, shield and sanctify, and whose regular use would guarantee the integrity of an altar's wood beyond the span of a human life. A food grade formula, composed of 100% organic ingredients, free from any chemical junk. And because we wanted to be able to apply it directly with our hands, it had to treat our skin with the utmost respect. Lastly, as a final whim, we wished for a care that would give off the scent of a temple, exuding peace, elevation and sacredness.

So, if the Arakuto altar care we dreamed of didn't exist, we'd have to create it ourselves. And so we did.

It took us 2 years of development until we find the formula we were looking for, the ultimate concoction… A balm. We named it Cure.

From Nature’s Living Laboratory

It was in the realm of the “authentic”. In the fruits, leaves and resins of trees, in flowers and in the art of bees, that we hope to find and unite the active properties to create our Arakuto altar care, in oils, waxes and precious essences of powerful virtues.

It took us two years of development, testing over time the real value of different ingredient combinations and fine-tuning their proportions again and again, until we find the formula we were looking for, the ultimate concoction… A balm. We named it Cure.

Jojoba, argan and coconut oils, carnauba and beeswax, essential oils of lemon, frankincense, and benzoin, Arakuto’s Cure balm is a generous oleo-repairing blend from the healing forces of nature, a wood care composed of certified organic ingredients rich in active molecules with properties recognized by scientific research.

  • Cure balm's rich oily blend quickly penetrates your culinary altar, exerting its repairing action and releasing all its benefits. While the active molecules found in Cure's precious fats and essences restore the natural strength and resilience of weakened wood fibers, its waxes fill the micro gaps between the fibers and create a protective shield, both retaining Cure's active powers within your altar and making it impervious to liquids and external aggression.

  • Ensure your culinary altar is clean and completely dry. Warm a small amount of balm between your hands. Apply a thin layer to the entire wooden surface and edges of your altar. Massage with enthusiasm to promote absorption. Leave the balm to penetrate for 5 minutes. Wipe off any excess balm with a cloth, using rapid circular motions to buff the surface.

For optimum maintenance, renew the application weekly, or as soon as your altar demands.

  • Store at room temperature, between 15°C (59°F) and 30°C (86°F). When properly stored, Cure retains the full strength of its active properties for up to 5 years.

  • At room temperature, Cure Balm has a compact consistency, halfway between an ointment and a solid wax. To release the full potency of its active properties during application, it needs to be melted by warming it between your hands (your hands will love it!).
